How is this different from P90X, Insanity, or any of the other online fitness programs I've tried before?
Premade fitness plans like P90X are built for the masses. They are not CUSTOMIZED to you and your lifestyle. They do not take into account injuries, health conditions, and dietary restrictions. Those plans cannot be adjusted, they are not tailored to your goals, and they do not offer accountability or direct access to a coach. This is not a “plan”, this is a COACHING program. With the New Body Project you get elite daily coaching, access to a private support group, a personally tailored training and nutrition program, and most importantly, with this program, you actually get RESULTS.
Does this really work?
I have coached hundreds of clients over the last 10 years, tailoring their training and nutrition plans to meet their individual needs. The New Body Project Program is individualized to your every need, and I will work with you to create a fitness program that is designed to take you from where you are now, to where you want to be. In addition, there will be daily communication and weekly check-ins to ensure that your plan is customized to your lifestyle. Ultimately, your success will depend entirely upon your ability to adhere to your programming. I will do everything I can to make this as easy for you as possible, but you still need to put in the work.
What happens if I fall off the wagon or miss a few days?
The idea behind the New Body Project Program is to work with you to ensure that whatever happens, we can adjust and get back on track. Sometimes things like work, illnesses, or emergencies come up. Life happens. Your plan is not set in stone. If you miss a day or fall behind, you have the ability to move workouts on your calendar. I am here every step of the way to help make adjustments and keep you moving in the right direction.
Do I have to follow a meal plan?
No. Flexible dieting is a big part of our program. You have the option to choose whether you prefer a meal plan with every meal and snack laid out for you each day or a more flexible “exchange list” plan. An exchange list plan gives you a list of the different foods you can have in each macronutrient category (protein, carbs, and fat), and a point system to match the foods against for each meal. In other words, all you have to do is pick which foods you want to eat from the list each day and keep them within the point range. I can adjust macronutrient targets as needed throughout your plan. If there are certain foods you cannot eat or simply don’t like, they will be excluded from your plan.
How will this help me fight cravings?
As mentioned above, I incorporate flexible dieting into all of my clients nutrition plans. You will still be able to eat the foods you love in moderation as long as they fit within your target range for daily calories and you hit your macro targets. “Cheat meals” are incorporated in your program and will be explained. This is not a fad diet. Your nutrition plan is designed to realistically suit your lifestyle. The best plan is the one you can stick to long-term. I am not here to make your life miserable.
How will I know if my form is correct?
Each exercise comes with a video demonstration and voiceover instructions on how to perform the exercise correctly. These can be viewed on your smart phone app or on your computer. Also, if you choose to upgrade from the free challenge, you are able to submit your videos to me of you performing whichever exercises you may need further help with.
Do I have to count calories and macronutrients?
No. The Quick Start Nutrition Guide that you receive once you sign-up teaches you how to gauge portion size using just your hand, making it as simple as possible so that over time you do not need to be tracking and counting every calorie and macronutrient.
I am new to strength training. Will this fitness program work for me?
Yes, because it’s not just a program, it’s a COACHING program that is tailored to YOU. I meet you where you are. You answer some of my questions, tell me what your goals are, and why you want to achieve these goals. We build a realistic training and nutrition plan based on your needs, fitness level, schedule, access to equipment, etc. I help you get to where you want to go. With the New Body Project Program, there is a solution for anyone who is willing to commit and put in the work.
I don't need to lose weight, I just want to build lean muscle and get toned. Can this program help me do that?
Absolutely! Every client has different goals and needs. Not everyone is looking to lose a ton of weight. I work individually with each and every client to personally build a fitness program that is designed specifically for them. This is not a “cookie cutter” approach. You will not get the same training or nutrition plan as a weight loss client if that is not your goal.
Do I need a gym membership or can I workout from home?
You do not need a gym membership. However, the in-home workouts require you to have access to a set of resistance bands. If you do not own a pair, I have some resistance bands I recommend that are less than $30, and come as a set of 4 with a door anchor for in-home use.
What if I have dietary restrictions, food allergies, or intolerances?
I work with every single client on an individual basis, so if you have any particular dietary restrictions, food allergies, intolerances, requests or preferences, these can easily be taken into account.
What if I have an injury or a health condition?
When filling out the questionnaire, please list any current or previous injuries or health restrictions that I will need to be aware of when designing your program. Many restrictions can be worked around or avoided but that information will be needed up front. If for any reason you are unsure of whether or not you should be exercising, please consult with your doctor or physician first before starting any fitness program.
How will I be billed?
